Hotel Theater – An Investment, Not An Expense
ZVOX is the leader in high quality audio systems for the hotel guest room. Our systems have been successfully installed in a number of major hotels. We would like to show you how hoteliers increase REV/PAR by marketing “Hotel Theater” rooms to guests, with modest upcharges – similar to those billed for broadband internet. Most hoteliers earn back their original investment in about three months -- and add significant REV/PAR thereafter. Click here to see our Hospitality Brochure.
10 simple reasons to choose ZVOX for your hotel guest rooms.
The ZVOX Hospitality Series are the first high-performance audio systems designed specifically for the hospitality market. Working with hoteliers, vendors and industry experts, ZVOX has created high quality systems that optimize the guest experience, while minimizing guest issues and installation costs.
The benefits to hoteliers are numerous:
- Simplicity of installation. Multi-component, multi-speaker audio systems are not appropriate for the guest room environment because proper installation of such systems can be expensive and complicated. And the installations typically introduce multiple points for possible failure. ZVOX systems use only one connecting wire and are remarkably simple to install.
- Simple user interface. The experience for the guest should be as intuitive as possible. ZVOX systems have been designed to function with the guestroom remote control (either supplied by the TV manufacturer or by the VOD vendor). When the guest presses the power button on the remote, the ZVOX automatically turns on or off. When the guest presses the volume up/down or mute, the ZVOX reacts automatically.
- Minimal opportunities for user-induced system “crash.” ZVOX focus groups confirm the following precept: If a button exists which can be pushed, thus causing the system to stop producing sound, a high percentage of guests will push that button. ZVOX systems are designed so that guests cannot accidentally disrupt audio service.
- Security options. ZVOX systems are easy to secure. The ZVOX 415 and 425 were designed for the ultimate in installation flexibility. Threaded inserts in a “VESA” pattern are located on the rear and bottom panels of the cabinet. A custom-designed security bracket is available through Chief Manufacturing.
- Management-controlled audio settings. Our Master Setup Remote (see facing page) allows the installer to adjust the hospitality default settings for maximum volume, maximum bass, treble and PhaseCue (virtual surround). This allows the installer to customize the audio setting based on the hotel brand standards or any customized setting necessary for the individual application.
- Dialog clarity. The leading consumer complaint with flat-panel TV audio is poor dialog clarity. ZVOX systems reproduce vocal dialog so that it is clearly understandable at an audio level of 60 dB or less.
- Audio realism. Cheap audio systems sound tinny and unrealistic. They do not add to listener enjoyment... in fact they detract from it. ZVOX systems accurately reproduce music and movie sound effects with realism and very low distortion. ZVOX systems are amongst the most highly reviewed audio systems ever made.
- Full-room audio dispersion. Because so many guests watch TV sitting in parts of the room that are off-axis from the TV (e.g. checking email at the guest desk), it is crucial that sound emanates in a broad pattern. ZVOX systems produce full-range sound that is clearly audible from all areas of the room with volume set at 60 dB or less. This typically results in the guest setting the volume at a lower level, which will result in few guest complaints.
- Low cabinet resonance. When a loudspeaker cone vibrates to generate sound, it can cause the cabinet to generate its own vibration (the cabinet, in essence, is “singing along”). Cabinet resonances generated by speakers in molded plastic TV cabinets can be problematic because they add distortion as the volume is turned up. ZVOX systems use robustly-built wood (MDF) cabinets to address this issue.
- Convenient iPod™ hookup. ZVOX systems use simple connecting jacks for portable audio devices. When a guest connects an iPod, the sound coming from the TV is automatically muted, and replaced with the sound coming from the portable audio device.
