Now you can get room-filling home theater sound – without a room full of speakers and wires. The ZVOX IncrediBase 575 HSD is a complete surround sound system – including dual powered subwoofers – all in one cabinet! Just place the 575 HSD on a piece of furniture, place your flat-panel TV on top of the ZVOX system, connect one wire…you’ve installed a high-performance home theater system in under 10 minutes.

The sound quality of the ZVOX 575 HSD is comparable to that of much more expensive multi-speaker systems. CNET named it one of the “best audio products of 2009.” And Sound & Vision magazine says “the 575 HSD is the right solution…powerful convincing movie and TV sound without the hassles and floor-space requirements of a multi-speaker rig.”

The 575 HSD is 36”w x 16.5”d x 5”h and contains five high-performance speakers and dual 6.5” powered subwoofers for window-rattling bass. The ZVOX PhaseCue virtual surround sound system creates three-dimensional sound without the need for multiple speakers throughout the room. Movies come to life with vibrant, realistic, high-impact sound. Music sounds accurate and natural. And vocals on TV shows come through with incredible clarity.

Bass equivalent to a 10" external powered subwoofer. The 575 HSD uses dual 6.5" powered subwoofers in a spacious cabinet (equal in interior volume to a 14"x14"x14" subwoofer box). The result is accurate, window-rattling bass down to 35Hz. No other all-in-one home theater system even comes close.

Room-filling three-dimensional sound. The IncrediBase system uses five 3.25" high performance speakers, a 133-watt amplifier and our critically-acclaimed PhaseCue™ virtual surround sound system to create theater-quality sound in your home. Voices are strong and clear. Music is natural and realistic. Movie sound effects literally surround you.

Acts as a base for your flat-panel TV. The IncrediBase 575 HSD is designed to act as a base for your TV.* Place the 575 HSD on a piece of furniture, then place the TV on top of the 575 HSD. It’s perfect for spaces where wall-mounting of TVs and speakers isn’t practical.

What is it?

Measuring 36"w x 16.5"d x 5"h, the ZVOX IncrediBase 575 HSD is an ideal companion for flat-panel TVs ranging from 37-inches to 65-inches in size. Place the 575 HSD on a credenza, chest or table—place the TV on top of the 575 HSD and connect a single wire to your TV and presto...you have a high-performance home theater system. Unlike most all-in-one systems, the ZVOX IncrediBase 575 HSD employs a hand-built, cross-braced wood (MDF) cabinet with beautiful hand-lacquered high-gloss black end panels. The top of the unit is finished in rugged, scratch-resistant black vinyl that is less likely to be marred by objects such as the TV placed on its surface.

Connections

The ZVOX system connects to an analog audio output, a feature found on most TV sets. Typically, this is a pair of "RCA" phono jacks labeled AUDIO OUT (L & R). If the TV has a headphone jack, this can also be used. Please ensure that your TV has the appropriate outputs for connecting a ZVOX system. If not, please contact us at info@zvoxaudio.com to learn about other system/connection options.

It’s Compact (Read More)

The Z-Base 575 is 36 ” wide by 16.5 ” deep by 5 ” high. Everything is inside this compact cabinet – speakers, amplifier, virtual surround circuitry and dual powered subwoofers.

Simple Installation (Read More)

The 575 requires only one connecting cord. Hook it up to the analog audio output jacks on your TV – or the TV’s headphone jack – and you’re virtually done. You can place the 575 directly beneath most 37 " - 65" flat panel TVs*. TV base should not exceed 35 " in width or 15" in depth.TV should not exceed 140 pounds in weight. Safety instructions in Z-Base 575 Operating Instructions and in TV's Operating Instructions should be closely examined and followed.

Simple To Use (Read More)

If your TV has audio output jacks that can be set to “variable” (check your on-screen menu under “Audio” to see if you have this option), you can use your TV’s remote to control the 575 ’s sound. If not, use our supplied remote control. Our auto-on/auto-off circuit will turn the unit on about one second after you turn on your TV. Approximately three minutes after you turn off the TV, the ZVOX will go into “idle” mode. Volume, mute, PhaseCue (virtual surround), subwoofer level and treble are all controlled via our ZVOX remote. It couldn’t be simpler.

Virtual Surround Sound (Read More)

The 575 uses ZVOX’s proprietary PhaseCue virtual surround system to give you rich, three-dimensional sound with movies or music. With music, PhaseCue creates a very wide soundstage – it literally sounds like you are listening to speakers eight feet apart from each other. When listening to a good movie, the soundtrack will envelope you – putting you in the middle of the action. While no virtual surround system – including ours – will give you the surround effects of a good 5.1 system, the ZVOX 575 does a remarkable job. Sound & Vision magazine says our PhaseCue system “mixes different combinations of the left- and right-channel signals in and out of phase and sends them to the various drivers to create an impressive spread of sound, far larger than the box itself…remarkably ingenious.”

No Skimping On Speaker Quality (Read More)

Most audio systems in our price category use very cheap speakers in plastic cabinets. But at ZVOX we’re “old school” about things like this. We use nothing but high quality speaker drivers, carefully designed by ZVOX engineers and manufactured to our specification. The 575 uses specially treated long-excursion main drivers. All speaker magnets are powerful Neodymium models that are magnetically shielded. The cabinet is MDF (medium density fiberboard), the same material uses in most high-end loudspeakers.

Editorial Accolades (Read More)

In the past three years, we know of no other audio systems that have received as many rave reviews as ZVOX. Here’s a short list of review excerpts for the ZVOX 575:

"The bass output is better and stronger than it has any right to be, and the quality of the midrange drivers can hold their own for both TV sound and music reproduction." -Blu-rayDefinition.com

*CNET News columnist Steve Guttenberg named the ZVOX 575 single-cabinet home theater system as one of his 10 top audio products of 2009, saying "I'm not crazy about sound bar speakers in general, but the Z-Base575 has a huge advantage over most sound bars, and that is: it's huge. Not in width or height, but its depth is many times deeper than any sound bar out there. No wonder it sounds so good." - CNET

“The 575 throws a muscled punch that hits hard for music and high dramas. Bigger and beefier than its predecessors, the IncrediBase is a strong contender for soundbar with the most sound. Of course, it’s more than just that – and less, too. If you think all-in-one systems are all the same or that complexity is the character of effective technology, the ZVOX will change your thinking. Simple and effective - the IncrediBase is simply effective."-audiovideorevolution.com

...delivers bigger sound than you would expect...If you are looking for a no-frills, but practical, way to get better sound out of your TV, or even to listen to music, without the hassle of a complete home theater system, the Z-Base 575 is a good value and definitely worth a critical listen." -About.com

Technical Details (Read More)

  • Dimensions; 36” w x 16.5” d x 5” h
  • Amplifier: The 575 uses a 133 watt amplifier.
  • Rear inputs: (2) analog stereo inputs, (1) optical (Toslink) digital input, (1) coaxial digital input.
  • Virtual surround sound: The 575 uses ZVOX’s proprietary PhaseCue virtual surround sound system. PhaseCue, as its name implies, manipulates the phase of the separate channels to “fool the ear” into believing that sound is coming from a variety of sources throughout the room. The benefits of PhaseCue vary greatly based on program material. Live music and well-recorded modern movie soundtracks will deliver rich, three-dimensional sound – pulling the sound out from the speakers and into the room, literally surrounding the listener. Unlike many digital virtual surround systems, PhaseCue does not create any “digital weirdness” – rain the sounds like white noise, female singers that sound like they’re standing in a giant tin can. Note: All virtual surround systems – including the PhaseCue system – are limited in their effects when compared to a good 5.1 system. And sitcoms, news broadcasts and soundtracks from older movies often have very little in the way of three-dimensional sound. That being said, PhaseCue is capable of generating a wonderful and engaging virtual surround experience.
  • The 575 is bi-amplified, using a specially designed amplifier that includes electronic contouring for superb frequency response.
  • The 575 ’s 2 6.5" subwoofers uses a high-mass long-throw design in a ported enclosure.
  • The 575 ’s five 3.25 " main speaker drivers use ferrofluid and neodymium magnets to create remarkably loud, remarkably clear sound.
  • The system is magnetically shielded so it can be used near a TV or monitor.
  • Unlike most systems in its category, the 575 uses an MDF (medium density fiberboard) wood cabinet - instead of plastic. MDF is the preferred construction material for high-performance speaker systems.
  • The 575 uses the ZVOX Infinite Compliance system - which connects the outer two main speakers with an acoustic tube. This system helps create big sound from a small cabinet.
  • A subwoofer output jack on the rear allows owners to connect a separate powered subwoofer (optional).
  • Auto-on/auto-off circuit senses sound from source (TV, iPod, PC) and turns on the 575 two seconds later. Approximately three minutes after it has received no signal, it automatically shuts the unit off.
  • Simple, single-cord connecting system uses a dual RCA jacks on rear panel.
  • A 2-meter RCA-RCA connecting cord is included.
  • The ZVOX 575 is backed by a one year limited parts and labor warranty. For services issues, email info@zvoxaudio.com.
